The Changing Diabetes Map is an interactive web-based tool which displays summarised average HbA1c data from different geographic regions within Australia. The HbA1c data is accessed through the "Mapping Glycaemic Control Across Australia" project, which collects national HbA1cdata. This project addresses the need for HbA1c data which has previously been lacking in the primary care setting.
The "Mapping Glycaemic Control Across Australia" project has been possible through the unrestricted funding support and partnership of Novo Nordisk, and the support and assistance of Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, Central Queensland Pathology Laboratory, Barratt & Smith Pathology, Douglas Hanly Moir Pathology, Southern.IML Pathology, Capital Pathology, Melbourne Pathology, Hobart Pathology, Launceston Pathology, North West Pathology, Clinpath Laboratories, QML and Western Diagnostic Pathology.
The Changing Diabetes® Map allows for the observation of trends and no statistical conclusion can be drawn. The intent of providing this material is informational and not as advice.
